This is February's post for This Is Me by Amy over at While Wearing Heels. I originally did not want to join this challenge. As I told Amy I have baggage about my outward looks, some serious baggage. Ouch....I hate saying that because I think at first read it makes me sound vain, extremely vain, and if there is one thing that I'm not it's vain. As a person that has been heavy their entire life minus 1.5 yrs (after gastric bypass surgery) one gets really used to hearing the ugly, angry and hurtful remarks. I also think that when you get to the point of being used to hearing things, you start to believe them or at least it becomes rote. I know that my self worth as nothing, absolutely NOTHING to do with my outside, and I try so hard to teach my child that, but you know Monkey See, Monkey Do? Yea, OUCH..... again. So I decided that this would be the perfect challenge for me to embrace to get comfortable with myself and the Monkey See, Monkey Do won't be an ouchie. I NEVER want my child to ever feel that they have baggage about how they look and in turn how they feel about themselves.
So here we go:

Valentine's Decor {a new venture for me}
Good Friday Morning!!
I hope that everyone had a great Valentine's Day! We don't really go all out and celebrate to the nines, no reason really, just haven't ever really. The last few years we've celebrated a little more than usual (something about having an amazingly sweet lil Buckaroo will do that for you). I normally never decorate for Valentine's Day, simply put I'm totally lazy. Seriously!! It's not a major holiday and I've just out away all the Christmas decorations that have truely gotten on my nerves by now. I don't wanna pull out more things only to out them away in a couple weeks, plus I like the refreshing slimmed down minimalist knick knacks.
But here's a little Valentine's decorations that will be the extent of my decorating. Not too much I can take it all down within one hour!! whoot whoot!

My Valentine Mantel - can't wait till my wood is painted white! Next year the hearts will be laminated so we can write all the different ways we love one another, that way we can reuse it year after year.
Our traditional window clings. Buckaroo luvs these and honestly I do too!! (The saying is You Sweeten My Day but Buckaroo likes to trick me and switch them around today it said My Sweeten You Day, LOL!)
My wonderful .69 GW candy dish find I fill it with whatever holiday it is candy.
I hope that your Valentine's Day was just an extension or ballooned day of how we show our love to one another every day.
Much Luv,
Michelle

*This Is ME* {being nakkid is scary}
Hey everyone!
One of my very favorite bloggers (and I have to say great friend) is doing this fantastic link party. Amy at While Wearing Heels is doing *This is ME* it is so real and honest, it's scary to me. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one that has *that* break out or chinny chin chin hair (thats that reddish bump, LOL) but like she's pointed out, our kids and family *need* those pictures, those memories. So before I continue writing and give myself time to chicken out i'm going to close it and post it ASAP!

Early Valentine's {or admitting to being spoiled and spoiling}
Good Morning everyone!
I hope the weekend treated everyone good, if you are in the Northeast I hope that you were kept safe and warm from Nemo!
Just a quick post to show off this *amazing* gift that Hubster and Buckaroo got me for Valentine's Day. We don't normally celebrate V-Day with gifts or anything but I totally feel in love with this necklace and Hubster suggested it for V-Day. And truely who I am to deny their wants and needs
*batting eyelashes and coyly smiling*?
So here she is:
You can find her at Lisa Leonard Designs along with some other wonderful designs. The infinity symbol is our family "crest". When Buckaroo was younger our love saying interchange would be like this: "I luv u" "I luv u more" "I luv u infinity" but Buckaroo couldn't say infinity it would come out as "in-fin-a-bee". I have it tattoed on my right wrist with Infinibe under it with a double ended heart shaped infinity symbol. I believe that I am going to have it tat'd on my back shoulder blade to shoulder blade with our family member's names making up the symbol.
Buckaroo got two Monster Jam games, he was begging for them after seeing Monster Jam. One for Wii and one for X-Box, he already has one for PS2.
Hubster/Big Daddy ordered reloading dyes that he's been needing/wanting, but they are out several months. But like he said he'd rather wait for something he really wants/needs than to have something right now.
We'll still exchage candy and a stuffed animal for Buckaroo on Valentine's Day. What about y'all? Do you celebrate Valentines? Have you received your gift yet? What do you exchange, simple gifts or more elaborate gifts?
I hope to have my few Valentines decor pictures up tomorrow. Leave me a link in the comments for yours, I'd love to see them!
Much Luv,
Michelle
